The Bulgarian government has stepped up its efforts to block online gaming operators from serving players in Bulgaria without a local license with the publication of its first blacklist of illegal operators.
The blacklisting of unlicensed operators follows the adoption of new gambling legislation in March 2012 which regulates remote gambling for the first time, and under which only locally licensed operators may provide online gaming services to Bulgarian residents.
