Swedish gambling monopoly operator Svenska Spel has moved to better tackle match-fixing in the country through a cooperation agreement with Swedish football association Svenska Fotbollförbundet (SvFF).
The agreement is designed to put in place stronger controls to combat match-fixing across the country’s football leagues.
Svenska Spel’s director of communications Olle Axelsson explained that the partnership had been established after the operator reported a number of unusual betting patterns to the police.
