Italian authorities have released a number of websites operated and powered by local service provider Microgame after they were seized as part of a major crackdown on an illegal gambling ring in Italy with links to organised crime.
Microgame’s servers were sealed as part of the investigation last month, which was launched after the Calabrian organised criminal group, the ‘Ndrangheta, was reportedly using online and land-based gambling to launder money and avoid tax.
