Ljubljana-headquartered gaming solutions provider Comtrade Gaming has launched a new central monitoring system in Uganda.
The National Central Electronic Monitoring System has been developed and implemented to maintain regulatory standards and safeguard players’ interests.
The system offers monitoring and analysis of gambling activities, allowing Uganda’s gambling regulator, the National Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board (NLGRB), to identify irregularities and potential instances of problem gambling.
It has also been designed to help gambling operators adhere to local regulatory requirements, and to monitor player behaviour and betting patterns, providing support to at-risk players.
“We are excited to introduce our innovative Central Monitoring System to the Ugandan market,” said Comtrade Gaming director of systems Ivan Lah. “With its advanced features and robust capabilities, we believe that our solution will play a pivotal role in promoting responsible gambling practices and fostering a safe and transparent gambling environment in Uganda.”
NLGRB chief executive Denis Mudene Ngabirano commented: “I am extremely impressed with the Comtrade Gaming team and their product and how they delivered the Online Module of the NCEMS. Comtrade Gaming demonstrated outstanding expertise, professionalism, and efficiency throughout the NCEMS implementation.
“Their attention to detail, ability to deliver high-quality results and deliver the project on time, greatly contributed to the success of our collaboration.”
There are currently 83 companies licensed for betting and gaming in Uganda, including the likes of VBet, Admiral Bet, 22 Bet and Premier Bet.
Earlier this month Advanced Gaming Ltd, trading as 1XBet, notified the NLGRB that it had ceased operations in the country with immediate effect.
