Brazil’s Economic Affairs Committee voted Wednesday in favour of amended legislation to regulate sports betting and online gaming, having considered almost 140 amendments to the bill.
The amended bill will now be presented to the full Senate for further consideration and approval.
Changes to the bill include new licensing terms and conditions, local partner requirements, a lower winnings tax, and greater opportunities to exploit online licences.
