Philippines Senator Robinhood Padilla has introduced legislation to outlaw online publication and promotion of gambling related content.
Padilla said the bill is a necessary move to lessen the exposure and impact of gambling on the general public, especially young people.
His proposal would prohibit “online publication of materials that instruct or demonstrate gambling, commentaries, and advertisements that promote awareness of gambling activities”.
