Dutch social network Hyves has agreed to remove advertisements by unlicensed gambling operators at the request of national gaming authority Kansspelautoriteit.
Similar to a deal agreed with Facebook in May, the Kansspelautoriteit will notify Hyves to remove advertisements by companies that promote illegal gambling as part of a broader policy to combat gambling addiction, drive unlicensed operators from the market and strengthen social responsibility controls.
