New York-based casino games developer High 5 Games (H5G) has appointed gaming industry veteran Jean Venneman as a senior vice president, with responsibility for the company’s land-based business.
In her new position, Venneman joins the supplier’s executive team with H5G chief executive Tony Singer commenting that he was pleased to have brought her on board.
“I’ve worked with Jean the last 15 years during her tenures with IGT and Bally Technologies, there is no one more respected in the industry so when I saw a chance to bring her on board to manage and grow H5G’s land based businesses it was an easy decision,” he explained.
She has worked in the gaming industry for 23 years, having begun her a career in the sector with International Game Technology (IGT), where she held various executive positions such as vice president of product management and senior vice president of product development.
Venneman then moved to Bally Technologies in 2010 as vice president of product management, before transitioning to Scientific Games in November 2014 as vice president of brand licensing, gaming and interactive.
In that role she was responsible for finding, negotiating and deploying entertainment brands on slot machines, as well as real-money and free-to-play iGaming sites, and has brought brands and figures such as Michael Jackson, box office smash Titanic and the TV show Friends into the gaming sector.
“I’m excited to join High 5 Games and look forward to leveraging my network of long standing relationships with manufacturers and operators to deliver a wealth of high quality and innovative High 5 content to the market,” Venneman said of her new role.
