Scientific Games powers iLottery subscription program for WCLC

New York-listed Scientific Games has launched a new online subscription program for the Western Canadian Lottery Corporation (WCLC).

Subscription Spot is now available via the WCLC website and allows players in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, as well as the Yukon Territory, Northwest Territories and Nunavut, to purchase lottery games online.

“This is a major milestone and big success story for WCLC as it is our first offering of an online purchase methodology for lottery products, supporting our plans for modernization through digital channels,” said WCLC vice president of marketing Brad Wiebe. “The subscription system provided by Scientific Games is strategic to our growth as we enter an entirely new digital era for WCLC and our players.”

WCLC’s new digital initiative is powered by Scientific Games’ player account management (PAM) platform, with lottery players able to purchase subscriptions for Lotto Max, Lotto 6/49, Daily Grand, Western Max, Western 649 and Extra games for up to 104 drawings.

In addition to central gaming systems technology, PAM platform and online subscription program, Scientific Games also provides WCLC with a sports betting solution and Scratch’n Win instant games.

Shares in Scientific Games Corporation (NSQ:SGMS) closed marginally lower at $40.04 per share in New York Monday.
