New pan-European lottery EuroDreams set to debut November 6th

23rd October 2023 8:54 am GMT

The nine European lotteries that make up the Euromillions community are coming together to launch EuroDreams, their first game featuring monthly payout prizes.

Billed as the biggest lottery game launch in Europe in the past twenty years, EuroDreams is a ‘sister’ lottery to Euromillions and is priced at €2.50.

The draw game gives players the chance to win up to €20,000 a month for 30 years, or €7.2 million (maximum three winners). The second-tier prize is a monthly payout of €2,000 for five years, or €120,000 (maximum 12 winners).

To play, players must fill in six numbers (out of 40), plus one additional “Dream” number (out of 5) to make up a full set. The game gives players a 1-in-19-million chance to win the jackpot and a 1-in-4.66 chance of winning a prize overall, significantly better odds than EuroMillions.

The first draw will take place on Monday 6 November, and comes 20 years after the launch of Euromillions. There will be two EuroDreams draws a week, on Mondays and Thursdays.

As the first European pension lottery, the game has been inspired by the popularity of the Grande Vie lottery in Canada, Cash4Life in the United States, and Set for Life in Australia and the UK.

France’s La Française des Jeux (FDJ) will be responsible for draws for the entire EuroDreams community, which will be conducted electronically with results revealed through a virtual 3D animation.

“The launch of EuroDreams is a major event for FDJ and for all our partner lotteries in the Euromillions community,” said FDJ Group chairwoman and CEO Stéphane Pallez. “This European collaboration marks a new phase in our development, with players able to win an unprecedented prize of €20,000 a month for 30 years.

“We are very proud to offer our customers another game spanning multiple European countries, 20 years after the launch of Euromillions.”

The game is being rolled out by FDJ and the eight other Euromillions community members - Spain (La Sociedad Estatal Loterías y Apuestas del Estado), Ireland (Premier Lotteries Ireland), Belgium (Loterie Nationale Belge), Portugal (Departamento de Jogos da Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa), Austria (Österreichische Lotterien), Switzerland (Société de la Loterie de la Suisse Romande and Swisslos Interkantonale Landeslotterie), Luxembourg (Œuvre Nationale de Secours Grande-Duchesse Charlotte), and the UK National Lottery.

EuroDreams tickets go on sale on Monday 30 October, with a portion of the proceeds from the game donated to charitable causes across Europe.
