International Game Technology (IGT) has been awarded a three-year contract by Portuguese national lottery operator Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa (SCML).
The contract was awarded following a competitive procurement process and will see IGT Global Solutions serve as the lottery’s primary provider of instant ticket printing solutions and related services, including game development and analytics.
IGT has served as SCML’s main technology partner for more than two decades, providing its retail central system hardware, software, terminal maintenance and field support.
Jay Gendron, chief operating officer at IGT, said: “IGT’s longtime partnership with SCML and extensive knowledge of the Portuguese market will enable us to work closely with the Lottery to offer world-class instant ticket games based on the local needs of its players.
“We are excited to deliver our diverse and innovative game content to the region, supporting continuous growth for SCML.”
Shares in International Game Technology Ltd. (NYSE:IGT) gained 0.41 per cent to close at $22.26 per share in New York Monday.
