The Illinois Lottery has revealed that a record $731m will be distributed to the state’s Common School Fund for the fiscal year ended 30 June 2019.
The contribution for the year is 2 per cent higher than the previous year’s $719m return.
In addition to the funds generated for K-12 public education in Illinois, the lottery also transferred $4m for specialty causes, including Illinois veterans’ services, the fight against breast cancer, multiple sclerosis research, Special Olympics training [...]
