Camelot helps Mauritius National Lottery achieve WLA certification

The Mauritius National Lottery has gained level two certification from the World Lottery Association (WLA) for its responsible gaming standards, after enlisting Camelot Global Services to help it achieve the accreditation.

Loterie Nationale, which was launched in October 2009 by operator Lottotech, said that its accreditation meant that it recognised the importance of preventing excess play, protecting minors and educating players on responsible gaming.

“Camelot’s world-leading corporate responsibility credentials made it the ideal partner to work with to help us achieve WLA accreditation,” said Dimple Seechurn Loterie Nationale’s director of CSR. “Corporate responsibility must be an integral part of any lottery and it is our responsibility, as the operator, to protect our players while still offering an exciting game portfolio.”

Consultation on corporate responsibility is one of the core services Camelot provides to the lottery industry, with the company recently helping Morocco’s La Marocaine Des Jeux et Des Sports achieve certification for the European Lotteries Association’s (EL) Responsible Gaming Standards as well as the WLA’s Responsible Gaming Framework.

Camelot said that it worked closed with Loterie Nationale’s Seechurn to help the lottery achieve the recognition.
