In an extension of its relationship with TIPOS, GTECH Printing Corporation (GPC), a wholly owned subsidiary of Italy's Lottomatica Group, has been awarded a ten-year contract to provide instant-ticket services to the Slovak Republic's national lottery.
Commencing earlier this month, the ten-year contract with TIPOS, represented by the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic as its sole shareholder, has unlimited options for extensions.
"Over the next decade, we will partner with TIPOS to provide cutting-edge, innovative games that will excite customers and attract new generations of players," said Ross Dalton, GTECH Senior Vice President of Printed Products and Licensed Content.
"GPC is excited to bring a fresh, new dynamic to TIPOS' instant-game portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity to provide one of Europe's leading lottery providers with high-quality instant tickets and exceptional customer service."
Since TIPOS' inception in 1993, GTECH has provided the lottery with ongoing services, including the operation and maintenance of central system hardware, software, terminals, telecommunications services, hotline management, retailer training, and data center operations.
Together, GTECH and GPC will service TIPOS with a fully-integrated lottery program, customized to meet the unique needs of the Slovakian market and its customers.
"We chose GPC because of its new state-of-the-art printing facility in Florida, its experienced and knowledgeable staff, and its great economic value," said Peter Kapusta, Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of TIPOS. "We look forward to developing new game concepts with GPC in the future."
