Sweden’s Unibet Group plc has reported a 36 per cent increase in gross winnings revenue to £51.1m ($82.6m) for the first quarter of 2012, following strong growth in the company’s sports betting and online casino products.
Sports betting generated gross winnings revenue (GWR) of £24.4m during the quarter, an increase of 58 per cent compared to the same period last year, following a 28 per cent improvement in betting stakes to £297.0m.
