Dutch gambling regulator Kansspelautoriteit (KSA) has imposed a fine €400,000 on JOI Gaming.
JOI Gaming, operator of the Jack’s land-based and iGaming brand, was handed the fine for using role models in its marketing activities, in breach of the Netherland’s gaming laws.
The fine relates to the use of role models at a family-focused motor sport festival, JACK’S Racing Day 2023, and was only announced by the Dutch gambling regulator on Tuesday due to an interim injunction awarded to JOI Gaming.
The role models at the event were photographed signing Jack’s branded caps and posing with hosts in Jack’s branding clothing, with the photos subsequently posted to social media.
The photos were removed from social media following an order from the KSA.
