Mississippi casinos took nearly $6.3m in sports bets in August, the first full month since new regulations were implemented to allow venues to establish legal sports books.
The first monthly sports betting report from the Mississippi Gaming Commission shows a total of $6.3m wagered during the month, generating taxable revenue of $644,489 for licensed operators.
Broken down by geographic region, $4.4m was wagered at Coastal casinos, creating taxable revenue of $409,065, with baseball the most popular sport with $2.3m wagered [...]
