Sportech has moved to expand its product offering with the acquisition of Data Tote, a UK-based greyhound and horse racing betting operator and technology provider, in a deal worth up to £4.1m.
Upon completion the deal will see Sportech become the exclusive betting provider to 41 of the 43 greyhound tracks in the UK and Ireland, while Data Tote also operates track-based offerings for greyhound, trotting and horse racing venues in Sweden, Germany and Malta.
