London-listed gaming operator Sportech has entered into a partnership with New York-based entertainment and rewards platform Viggle to jointly acquire DraftDay, the third-largest operator in the US daily fantasy sports (DFS) market.
Sportech had originally agreed to acquire DraftDay from current owner MGT Capital Investments via a newly-formed investment vehicle Random Outcome USA in June, but will now form DraftDay Gaming Group with New York-listed Viggle to take over ownership of the DFS business.
