The Slovenian government has notified the European Commission (EC) of a new Gaming Act which is expected to come into force in the country in early 2014.
The Gaming Act will regulate both land-based and online gaming activities under concession from the Ministry of Finance, with one five-year sports betting concession available along with 30 casino games concessions, while the single lottery concession will be reserved for the Slovenian national lottery.
