Scottish Labour leader joins calls for reduction in FOBT stakes

The leader of the Scottish Labour Party has spoken out in favour of reducing the cap on stakes players can place on fixed odds betting terminals (FOBTs).

Member of Parliament for East Renfrewshire Jim Murphy has added his support to the campaign to cut stakes on the machines to £2, which currently allow customers to wager up to £100 per spin, having previously warned that FOBTs are “costing communities dearly.”
