New Jersey Congressman Frank Pallone Jr., ranking member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, has requested a hearing to review the legality of fantasy sports and what he sees as a "blurring of the lines" between fantasy sports and online gambling.

A strong advocate of legalised and regulated sports betting in New Jersey, Pallone has questioned the involvement of major sports leagues with fantasy sports operators, particularly in light of their legal action to prevent New Jersey from allowing the state's casinos and racetracks to offer sports betting.
