Malta-licensed daily fantasy sports (DFS) provider Fanaments has continued its expansion across Europe, securing a betting licence from the UK Gambling Commission which allows it to go live for UK customers.

Since launching in August last year, Fanaments claims to have grown by at least 100 per cent month-on-month, paying out more than €300,000 in winnings to date.

It describes itself as the only DFS operator designed specifically for European players, using real-time data, user incentivisation, a variety of sports and a large regulatory footprint to remain a step ahead of the competition.

Fanaments offers a variety of tournaments based on football competitions such as the English Premier League, La Liga and UEFA Champions League, as well as other sports such as the NBA, mixed martial arts and PGA golf events.

“It is very exciting that we are the only multi-sport fantasy service on the continent,” Fanaments co-founder and CEO Bragi Ægisson said. “It was clear to us that there was an over reliance on football and so our objective is to satisfy the craving for additional sports.

“Our launch co-insides very nicely with prominent sporting fixtures this week. London will be treated to NBA’s Magic v Raptors game as well as the mammoth Premier League tie between Liverpool and Manchester United on Sunday,” he said.

“Fanaments are expecting a strong reception, to what is a high-profile week within the sporting calendar, as we aim to inject further excitement into a variety of sports events.”
