The Canadian Government has announced that it will amend the Criminal Code this month to legalise single event sports betting, enabling provinces and territories to provide a comprehensive sports betting offering in their respective jurisdictions.
The Criminal Code amendments relating to single event sports betting will come into force on Friday August 27, with the amendments having received Royal Assent on June 29.
