Flutter Entertainment-owned PokerStars has become an official partner of the National Hockey League’s (NHL) Philadelphia Flyers.

As the first poker brand to partner the Pennsylvania-based NHL team, PokerStars’ branding will feature at all home games at Wells Fargo Center, while PokerStars players will have the chance to win Flyers tickets and exclusive signed memorabilia through special poker tournaments and monthly sweepstakes on PokerStars Casino.

“We are thrilled to partner with such a beloved hockey team,” said PokerStars North America senior director of commercial Rob Battista. “Hockey fans are some of the most passionate in the world, and we can’t wait to collaborate with the team to bring exciting tournaments and rewards to our communities in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.”

Todd Glickman, chief revenue officer of the Flyers’ owner Comcast Spectacor, added: “We’re excited to welcome PokerStars to the Flyers family. Their dedication to innovation and giving epic rewards and experiences to their players aligns perfectly with our goals on engaging our fantastic community of fans.”

The deal follows on PokerStars’ partnerships with the NHL’s Detroit Red Wings in Michigan, and Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment in Ontario, which owns the Toronto Raptors (NBA) and Maple Leafs (NHL).

Shares in PokerStars parent Flutter Entertainment plc (NYSE:FLUT) closed 1.67 per cent higher at $282.64 per share in New York Tuesday Monday.
