Malta-based gaming operator Betway has agreed a host of new sponsorship deals this week across racing, cricket and eSports.

Betway has agreed a deal to sponsor three races at this year’s week-long Galway Races Summer Festival, which kicks off on Monday 30th July.

The operator's first Irish racing sponsorship deal sees it sponsor the first three races on the sixth day of the meeting, known as Super Saturday, with the races now named the Betway Irish EBF Maiden, Betway Maiden and Betway Irish E.B.F. Nursery Handicap.

Betway's Anthony Werkman said that the deal will enable the company to increase brand awareness among a new circle of potential customers.

The operator has also agreed its first ever sponsorship deal in cricket, partnering with Cricket West Indies to serve as its official betting partner. The agreement also gives Betway brand exposure at all Windies international Home Series matches and across its digital channels.

Cricket West Indies commercial and marketing director Dominic Warne said the partnership will enable further investment in CWI's cricket programmes at every level, including the education of professional cricketers.

The final agreement of the week sees Betway sponsoring the FACEIT London Major in September, the first Counter Strike: Global Offensive Major to take place in the United Kingdom.

As part of the agreement, Betway is also sponsoring the FACEIT Minors, the qualifying circuit for the Major, which is being held at Twickenham Stadium, London, throughout July.

"We are thrilled to be sponsoring the FACEIT Major. The UK is full of very passionate CS:GO fans and we are extremely excited to be involved," Werkman commented. "It will undoubtedly be the UK’s most impactful eSports event of all time. FACEIT is an important part of the eSports community, and we couldn’t be happier to support them in the creation of this iconic event."

The latest round or sponsorships follow hot on the heels of Betway's recent deals with La Liga clubs Levante U.D, Deportivo Alaves and C.D Leganes ahead of the upcoming Spanish football season.
