Lithuanian land-based gaming operator Nese has agreed sponsorship deals worth €7.5 million to support the launch of its new online gaming and betting brand.

The three-year deal makes Nese’s Twinsbet brand the main sponsor of Vilnius-based basketball club BC Wolves and gives the company naming rights to the club’s home stadium, ASG Arena, which will now be known as Twinsbet Arena.

“Twinsbet is centered around the idea that we believe in sports. For this reason, we are heavily investing in and supporting sports, including the Wolves basketball club and the Twinsbet Arena, as well as other collaborations we are currently investigating and are always open to,” said Alvidas Paulikas, chief executive of Nese.

Nese was founded in 1991 and operates casino’s in the cities of Vilnius and Klaipeda, as well as gaming halls in Lithuania.

Andrius Ziauberis, CEO of BC Wolves and the Twinsbet Arena, commented: “We are the only top-tier Lithuanian basketball club operating without any support from municipalities, and so this sponsorship deal will pave the way for sustainable growth. Strong teams can inspire generations both on and beyond the court, and this deal builds a solid foundation for an engaging fan experience.”

Lithuania’s gambling market, excluding lotteries, generated revenue of €222.2 million in 2023, with online gambling revenue growing by 20 per cent year-on-year to reach a record €148.4 million.
