WA.Technology strengthens regulatory team

Malta-headquartered iGaming solutions provider WA.Technology has brought in Waldir Marques as director of regulatory affairs.

Marques formerly served as CEO of Brazilian government-backed lottery operator CAIXA Loterias, and prior to that was under-secretary of Regulation of Lotteries, Prizes and Sweepstakes at Brazil's Ministry of Economy.

“With the latest regulatory developments in Brazil, Waldir's profound understanding of the legal landscape will be instrumental in guiding our expansion efforts in the country and the wider Latam market,” said WA.Technology CEO Tim Scoffham. “His appointment proves our commitment to operating within legal compliance, ensuring our clients receive exceptional service and the peace of mind that comes with rigorous regulatory adherence.”

Marques is the latest to join WA.Technology’s expanded executive team following the recent appointments of Sander Koch as chief strategy officer and Francesco La Deda as chief financial officer.
