Sports data technology provider Genius Sports has appointed Mark Kropf as group chief technology officer (CTO).
Kropf brings vast experience to the role and is tasked with expanding the deployment of the company’s GeniusIQ product, a next-generation sports data and AI platform that uses AI learning to deliver an enhanced immersive experience.
Kropf joins Genius Sports after half a decade at technology giant Google, where he served as technical director for the office of the CTO (Google Cloud), helping to further Google’s generative AI capabilities and innovation.

Shares in Genius Sports Ltd (NYSE:GENI) closed 3.69 per cent lower at $7.84 per share in New York Monday.
