China’s lottery market recorded a 13 per cent decline in total sales to RMB212.6bn in the first six months of 2019 following a fifth consecutive monthly decline in June.
Lottery sales in June fell by 41 per cent year-on-year to RMB34.8bn, with results impacted by strong comparables in the prior year period, which included the start of the FIFA World Cup.
