Game development studio Cherry Play has entered the Dutch iGaming market via a partnership with Hard Rock Casino NL.

Cherry Play will provide a range of games to Hard Rock, including Multi Banks, Super Coin and Golden Cherry Jackpot, with the operator becoming the first to adopt Cherry Play’s subscription-based licensing model.

The subscription model allows operators to pay a fixed fee for Cherry Play’s titles, instead of the industry-standard revenue share.

The move into the Netherlands comes shortly after the game developer appointed former Stakelogic chief operating officer Olga Bajela as CEO.

“I’m thrilled to announce Hard Rock Casino NL as our first operator partner, marking our debut in the Netherlands,” said Bajela.

“While great games are important for any studio, especially a new one, we believe the commercial agreements through which games are offered was in need of a shake-up and that’s why we launched with our subscription offering.

“This allows operators to access our content for a fixed cost, ensuring they benefit from the revenues they generate. It also incentivises them to give our games better positioned and additional promotional spend, as they get to keep all the revenue they generate.”

Cristiano Blanco, CEO at Hard Rock Casino NL, added: “We have become a leading online casino destination for players in the Netherlands because of our extensive game offering and this deal with Cherry Play strengthens that with hugely entertaining classic slot titles.

“We look to differentiate in our game offer to our valued players and believe Cherry Play fulfils that role with ferme. We are delighted to be amongst the first online casino operators to offer its content to players in the Netherlands.”
