Tabcorp Launches New Loyalty Programme for NSW TAB2nd October 2009 8:17 am GMT
Becoming Australia's first wagering operator to launch a multi-channel loyalty program across fixed odds and tote betting, Tabcorp has launched The Number 1 Club, a new customer loyalty programme which rewards customers betting via the New South Wales TAB.
In what the company says is a new way for it to engage with existing and new customers, members of the programme will be able to earn rewards and privileges, including free bets, event hospitality and tickets to racing and sporting events.
"Tabcorp will join forces with many racing and sporting partners to deliver benefits to our customers, who will be rewarded for their loyalty to the NSW TAB," said Ian Mackay, Tabcorp's General Manager of Wagering Marketing.
"The NSW TAB is a trusted and iconic brand that provides entertainment to its customers across a range of channels. Our customers will now get more benefits for betting with the NSW TAB through their free membership in The Number 1 Club.
Customers will earn reward points for every AUD$1 or more bet using a NSW TAB account. Bets can be placed online, via mobile, or at TAB retail outlets and on-course through an EasyBet Terminal.
Mackay said that Tabcorp had conducted extensive research with its customers before the launch of the new loyalty programme, who called for a simple and free programme that enhances their involvement in racing and sport.
"Racing is not just a part of the sport or gambling industry; it is part of the broader leisure and entertainment industry. We need to continue to find ways to appeal to new markets and reward and inspire existing customers," said Mackay.
Shares in Tabcorp Holdings Limited (Co. Profile) (ASX:TAH) closed earlier today down 1.94% at AUD$7.06 per share.
