Canada’s Atlantic Lottery Corporation (ALC) is to invest CAD$4m in UK games developer Roboreus as it looks to launch the first Geosweep online location-based lottery game in Canada.

ALC, a public corporation owned by the governments of Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick and Newfoundland & Labrador, was recently approached by Roboreus to launch the new game in the Atlantic Canada region of the country.

Marc Belliveau, director of communications at the department of finance for the province of New Brunswick, told Gaming Intelligence that the province of New Brunswick had agreed to participate in the investment, with the New Brunswick Lottery and Gaming Corporation’s share being up to $2m.
