Sportech Racing and Digital, a division of London-listed supplier Sportech, has agreed a new contract to provide an online and mobile horse race betting platform to Pennsylvania racetrack Parx Racing.
The contract for a new digital platform was awarded by Bensalem Racing Association and Keystone Turf Club as part of a broader agreement to extend Sportech's totalisator services contract with the Bensalem-based racecourse and associated off-track betting locations.
Parx Racing will replace its existing advanced deposit wagering system with Sportech's G4 betting website platform and Digital Link mobile betting app. The racecourse already utilises Sportech's Quantum System pari-mutuel betting software, betting devices and operational services.
"We are happy to have once more been selected as pari-mutuel technology provider for Parx Racing,” said Andrew Gaughan, president of Sportech Racing and Digital. “Sportech has deployed over 25 websites and over 25 mobile apps for customers in the Americas, the Caribbean, Europe and Asia and we are very pleased to be able to add our valued customer Parx Racing to that list.
“We are committed to delivering to their players an overall enhanced digital user experience that helps extend the excitement of the racetrack to the digital channels."
Shares in Sportech plc (AIM:SPO) closed in London Wednesday at 78.00 pence per share.
