Playtech BGT Sports has rolled out a new Build-A-Bet feature to its BetTracker app, enabling retail customers of its self-service betting terminals (SSBTs) to compile bets on their mobile device.

Build-A-Bet allows players to compile and save selections into a betting slip on their device away from the shop for later placement at a terminal via a unique QR code.

Players can also track the progress of their bets through the app and cash out during live games.

“Bet Tracker is helping to change the face of retail betting,” said John Pettit, managing director of Playtech BGT Sports for UK, Ireland, Asia and Australia. “It already has a large following among customers of our partners, and the ‘anytime, anywhere’ tool will further boost customer engagement and loyalty for both big and small retail operators.”

Pettit added that the new feature will result in faster and more efficient bet placement, enabling more transactions and lower bet processing times at terminals.

The BetTracker product can be customised by operators with their own branding, with Playtech also giving operators the option to integrate Build-A-Bet into their own app.

Shares in Playtech plc. (LSE:PTEC) were trading down 0.71 per cent at 464.67 pence per share in London Tuesday morning.
