William Hill US has entered into a deal to launch a new retail sportsbook for the Mescalero Apache Tribe at New Mexico’s Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort & Casino.

The partnership marks the first sportsbook powered by William Hill in New Mexico and the first tribal agreement for William Hill outside of Nevada.

Set to be opened this summer before the start of the new NFL season, William Hill will provide its risk management and proprietary technology for the sportsbook’s day-to-day operations, including wagering technology, kiosks, and InPlay wagering options.

“Working with the Mescalero Apache Tribe and the National Indian Gaming Commission on this partnership agreement was important to us,” said William Hill US president of retail David Grolman. “Inn of the Mountain Gods is one of the premier resorts and casinos in the southwest and together we plan to bring a first-class experience to sports fans in the region.”

The casino is located three hours southeast of Albuquerque, New Mexico, with the new sportsbook to be placed between the venue’s Big Game Sports Bar and the Apache Spirit Club, featuring twelve 43-inch televisions and seating.

“Over the years, our customers have come to expect a high level of service and the best casino offerings possible,” said Frizzell Frizzell Jr, chief operating officer at Inn of the Mountain Gods. “Our sportsbook will be no exception.

“Together with William Hill, we will offer state-of-the-art betting technology, and innovative wagering opportunities including in-play options. We know this is something our customers have been looking forward to and we’re thrilled to be able to partner with the best in the business to bring it to them.”
