UK-listed operators William Hill and Betfair, two members of online gaming industry body the Remote Gambling Association (RGA), have applied to the Greek Ministry of Finance and Gambling Commission for the right to run the country’s online gambling monopoly.

The pair are looking to achieve certification despite what the RGA – which is handling all press for the case – described as a failure by the Greek government to “implement its own laws to open up the online gambling market.”
