Daily fantasy sports (DFS) operator Mondogoal has struck a partnership with Sports Interactive, the studio behind the hugely popular management simulator Football Manager.

The partnership will see Sports Interactive offer its customers the chance to play Mondogoal daily fantasy football, while the DFS operator’s branding will be featured on pitchside advertising hoardings within the 2016 edition of the game.

The deal follows the company's recent licensure in the Isle of Man and United Kingdom, and the signing of a number of partnerships with football teams.

These include FC Barcelona, Chelsea FC, AS Roma and Tottenham Hotspur. The company is also preparing to enter the Italian gaming market through a partnership with INTRALOT.

“We are excited to be involved with Football Manager, their fans are among the most passionate and sophisticated football fans in the world,” Mondogoal chief executive Shergul Arshad said.

“With the introduction of 'Fantasy Draft Mode' into this year's version of the game it seemed like the perfect time to get involved and integrate two top products in the world of football gaming.”

Sports Interactive studio director Miles Jacobson said that Football Manager fans were famously knowledgeable about football, with the Mondogal partnership giving them the opportunity to test their knowledge against fellow supporters.

“In addition to offering our fans a series of exclusive offers, we will also work closely with the Mondogoal team to promote both Football Manager and daily fantasy football to the widest possible audience.”
