London-listed gaming operator 888 Holdings has extended its partnership deal with the National Football League’s (NFL) New York Jets for the 2019-20 season.

After a successful introductory season which saw 888casino benefit from a presence within the Jets MetLife stadium, the new deal will see New York Jets branding appear on the 888casino site and app in New Jersey, alongside a promotional campaign across the team’s fan websites and social channels.

888casino will also serve as the official game sponsor for the October 21st Monday Night Football match against the NFL champions, the New England Patriots.

“The extension of the deal between the New York Jets and 888casino for a second year in a row only reaffirms our expansion efforts and reiterates the interest in online gaming within the US sports community,” said 888 head of group commercial Yaniv Sherman. “888casino already has a unique position in Nevada, Delaware and New Jersey for online gaming.

“The extension of the 888casino and Jets deal will continue to strengthen awareness of the 888casino brand and will aid the group’s growth strategy towards becoming a leading operator in the developing and potentially significant US online gaming market.”

New York Jets senior vice president of corporate partnerships, Ian Lasher, added: “We are proud to continue this partnership with 888casino in the gaming space allowing us to further engage and provide experiences for our fans in the mobile and digital world.”

The partnership with the New York Jets follows a number of substantial developments for 888casino within the US market and follows the launch of its new online casino platform, Orbit, in New Jersey in July.

Shares in 888 Holdings plc (LSE:888) were trading down 1.59 per cent at 148.80 pence per share in London Wednesday morning.
