Canada’s Atlantic Lottery Corporation (ALC) has removed Geonomics’ online location-based lottery game Geosweep from the market, as the provincial lottery operator undertakes significant upgrades to its technology delivery platform.
Courtney Pringle Carver, senior communications counsel for the ALC, told Gaming Intelligence that its research continued to support the concept that geo-based gaming held player appeal, but that in its current iteration, GeoSweep had not achieved its full potential in Atlantic Canada.
