Media Corp plc has been forced to temporarily suspend its PurpleLounge.com online gaming site following a difficult trading period which has seen the company’s cash dwindle to just £0.4m as a result of mounting losses generated by the business.
Media Corp said that in preparing its interim financial results for the six months ended March 31st, the company discovered that Purple Lounge was trading “materially” behind results from the corresponding period a year ago.
