Online media distribution and services provider RealNetworks, operator of the GameHouse gaming platform, has acquired cross-media social gaming developer Slingo in a $15.6m deal.
Founded in 1994, RealNetworks was one of the first movers in digital content distribution through its RealPlayer and RealDownload services, and is currently active in the social games space through its GameHouse gaming platform.
