Online casino operator AMGO iGaming has named former NYX Gaming co-founder Staffan Lindgren as its new chairman.

During his time at NYX, Lindgren steered the company through a successful Toronto IPO in 2014 and was also heavily involved in the acquisitions of Ongame Network, Chartwell Technologies and CryptoLogic.

AMGO iGaming, which recently agreed a deal to acquire Jetbull from EveryMatrix, said that Lindgren’s experience in M&A will help to drive future growth.

“Staffan is an obvious choice for chairman of the board,” said AMGO chief executive Nicolas Fleiderman. “He has a life-long experience in this industry and has built up iGaming companies from the ground. AMGO can draw from his extensive knowledge on a strategic and operational level. His mindset as a entrepreneur also fits the DNA of our company, so I am really excited about the opportunity to work close with Staffan moving forward.”

Lindgren said of his new role: “This is an amazing challenge and I personally look forward to the journey that is just starting. It is always an hounor, when industry peers ask you to be the chairman of the board and I will do my best to develop and grow the company. The foundation is in place and with the latest M&A’s that AMGO are engaged in, I foresee a positive future.”

AMGO is set to take over full ownership of Jetbull on 1 July, adding to its portfolio of brands such as Fantasino, Happy Bingo, Mywin24, Paradisewin, Grandwild and VIPstakes.
