US racing and gaming operator Churchill Downs has posted record revenue for the third quarter of 2013, with the company’s online gaming business returning to growth following a decline in the previous quarter.
Total net revenue rose 13 per cent year-on-year to $185.6m, with gaming net revenues positively impacted by the acquisitions of the Mississippi-based Riverwalk Casino Hotel and Maine’s Oxford Casino, which contributed $12.6m and $17.7m respectively.
