Gaming software provider Playtech Limited has acquired a 10% stake in football pools operator Sportech plc following Sportech's acquisition today of Scientific Games Racing.
Playtech has agreed to subscribe for 19.8 million shares in Sportech at a 10.7% discount on their closing price on Monday, amounting to approximately £10 million, with the funds being used by Sportech to finance the initial cash consideration for its acquisition of Scientific Games Racing.
