Representative John Barker of Kansas, chair of the Federal and State Affairs Committee, has introduced a rival sports betting bill to the one proposed by committee member Rep. Jan Kessinger.
Barker’s bill eliminates the “integrity fee” payable to sports governing bodies under Kessinger’s proposal (HB 2068/SB 23), and does not mandate the use of official league data for sports betting.
