Sir Hugh Robertson, the former Conservative Minister for Sport and current British Olympic Association chairman, will become the first chair of the UK Racing Authority.
He begins his role this month as chair of the Shadow Racing Authority, which will evolve into the Racing Authority in 2019, replacing the Horserace Betting Levy Board (HBLB).
