AIM-listed gaming platform provider Nektan has entered into an agreement with Irish media corporation Independent News & Media (INM) to develop a multi-platform casino offering.

The partnership sees INM enter the real-money gaming sector for the first time, targeting Irish consumers.

INM said it will leverage its “strong and growing” digital presence - which includes more than 35 editorial, classified and transactional sites - to market the casino offering that will be made available across mobile, tablet and desktop.

The company also operates a number of newspaper brands in Ireland and Northern Ireland, such as the Evening Herald, Irish Independent and Sunday World.

“We are thrilled to be working with Independent News & Media for what will be a ground-breaking partnership with Ireland’s leading news and media group,” Nektan chief executive David Gosen said. “We are looking forward to providing its readers with a best-in-class real money gaming service.”

INM product manager Brendan Murray added: “Nektan’s white-label gaming solution is a great fit for our digital strategy of growing non-core revenue though innovative products and we’re excited about the possibilities this partnership brings.”
