South Africa’s Premier Soccer League (PSL), the country’s top football division, has filed charges against eight officials and players as part of an ongoing investigation into allegations of match-fixing.
The eight have been charged with contravention of the National Soccer League Rules 53.1, 53.2 and 53.2.10, which covers a wide array of serious offences including attempting to influence the outcome of a match, and bribing or inciting others to aid in this.
