Strong growth from participating African and North American lotteries has helped worldwide lottery sales grow by 4.5 per cent in the first half of 2016, according to the latest figures released by the World Lottery Association (WLA).
Comprising 38 lotteries around the world, the WLA Quarterly Lottery Sales Indicator revealed that the biggest growth in H1 came from participating lotteries in Africa, with the four other regions also seeing year-on-year improvements.
